Region I Committee Meeting Minutes

June 7, 2007

Teleconference 9:00 a.m.

The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with the following people in attendance:

RACC: Jennifer Shipman
RTCC: Neela Nelson
RPECC: Absent
RJOCC: Dan Witenstein
SACC-AZ: Debby Farrelly
SACC-N-Cal: Perry Siu
SACC-S-Cal: Carol McIntyre
SACC-NV: Jill Enrietta
SACC-UT: Cathy Bennion

 

  1. Level 8, 9 & 10 Regional Championships

Will be held in one weekend on April 25-27th. If numbers allow, Level 9's will be Friday, Level 10's will be Saturday and Level 8's will be Saturday and Sunday.

Regional Bids must be able to accommodate 2 full gyms with 2 sets of equipment in each gym (1 floor in each gym)

  1. States can choose to have their state meets on March 29-30 or April 5-6.
  1. National Congress Meetings:

State Chairs: Wednesday August 15th

Regional Committee Meeting: August 17th 5:00

  1. Neela requested that the State Chairs send her a list of their boards recommendations for Regionals/Westerns and Nationals.
  1. Regional Base Score Clinic will be at ASU in December. Judges Criteria for being assigned will be written down and distributed.
  1. There was a brief discussion regarding the Regional Clinic location in Nor-Cal.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 10:15a.m.
